NTC CHAIRMAN BRIEFS MINISTER ON PERFORMANCE

Friday, November 28, 2014 – Islamabad—Ms. Anusha Rahman Ahmad Khan, Minister of State for IT visited NTC Headquarters on Thursday. Brig ® Viqar Rashid Khan, Chairman, NTC welcomed the Minister. Chairman, NTC gave a brief presentation on the performance and achievements of NTC. He also highlighted the challenges being faced by NTC in a cutthroat competition in the Telecom sector.

The Minister appreciated the role and performance of NTC in providing telecom services to Federal and Provincial Government as mandated by Law.

She emphasized that all Federal and Provincial Government and Federally and Provincially funded autonomous bodies should avail telecom/data services from NTC being the only Government owned telecom entity authorized under the Law to provide such services for security reasons.

NTC ensured that National Data Centre will be completed within the next few months and will be ready to provide value added services to the Government entities.
