Merkel’s equate of Islam with terror is un-acceptable. By Samir Adigozelli

Merkel's equate of İslam with terror reflects her Islamophobia views

Baku, November 5, 2020; Mr. Samir Adıgozalli, Head of İnternational Center for Socio- Political Processes (ISBAM) has declared to “Baku Khabar” that German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s statements against İslam is unacceptable. “Merkel’s equate of İslam with terror reflects her Islamophobia views and it is an unfit for a head of state.”

As is known, that a terrorist attack in Vienna, Austria resulted killing 4 people and injuring 14 others. According to Austrian officials, terrorist was a worship of the ISIS terrorist group. Samir Adıgozalli said that Merkel’s statements against İslam is only because of her Islamophobia views. He said that this is not the first occasions by Western leaders and officials to equate Islam with terrorism. “İt is not the first time that the Western leaders who consider themselves leading countries of the world have equate Islam with terrorism and made such ugly allegations against our religion which have hurt the sentiments of billions of Muslims world-wide.

Unfortunately, the President of France and the Chancellor of Germany and some other Enemies of Islam, instead of looking at their own policies, make such statements. An official who consider himself the head of a great state speaks out against the Prophet (Peace be upon him) of Islam or equates Islam with terrorism, it is to play with pride of billions of people who follow this religion. Merkel’s views are not normal absolutely which has caused decay and tension among inter- religious relations.

In fact, these heads of states have criminally violated “Inter- Religious Harmony” with their abusive statements. It would be appreciated if the people who practice Christianism and are also majority population of these countries protest to their heads of state to demand that they must stop this ugly champaign.

Everyone condemns the terror attack in Vienna, which is the killing of innocent people and it was a very bad act but it was actually a self-arranged drama by the said heads of states, the culprits. Probably, you must have observed Turkish and other Muslims helped the wounded people who suffered from this terrorism, and also they even helped the police. These Muslims are the face of Islam and should not be forgotten.

According to Samir Adigozalli, Western leaders who equate Islam with terrorism first look at the great contribution of Muslim people and great scientists to the development of inter-religion relations, coexistence and peace and then they will realize that Islam is a religion of peace and harmony.

Today, Azerbaijan suffers from the terror of Armenia. The separatist regime of Nagorno- Karabakh committed terror crimes for 30 years. Is the shooting and killing of peaceful Azerbaijanis in Ganja and Barda by Armenian’s terrorist criminals not against humanity? Both Merkel and Macron are well aware of Armenian terror but they don’t want to accept.

They don’t want to accept that today, the terrorism against Azerbaijani people is the direct responsibility of Christian Armenia. Today, ASALA and other terror organization are threatening Europe and the West. Can Merkel show a single terrorist organization that is connected with Azerbaijan and Turkey. Surely not, there is no such organization.

As for the activities of ISIS, Turkey was the major fighter against it while no European countries were supporting Turkey in this war against ISIS or its operations against them in Syria and Iraq? On the contrary, they left Turkey alone in a number of important military – political situations. Even then, Turkey fought against that terror organization.

Therefore, Merkel’s equate of Islam with terrorism is unacceptable and it is an unfit to a head of state. At the level of a head of state, it is an absolutely unacceptable to display a serves that slander, blackmail and incitement against Islam. Mr. Samir said that this serves is to incite conflicts between religions.
