{"id":214,"date":"2014-11-28T15:50:02","date_gmt":"2014-11-28T15:50:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cpectrade.co.uk\/?p=214"},"modified":"2014-12-01T14:12:20","modified_gmt":"2014-12-01T14:12:20","slug":"bahria-town","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cpectrade.co.uk\/?p=214","title":{"rendered":"Bahria Town"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bahria Town to set up two universities<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nKARACHI: Real estate tycoon and chairman of Bahria Town Malik Riaz announced on Thursday his plan to set up two universities \u2013 one each in Karachi and Hyderabad \u2013 to be named after Mutta\u00adhida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing a press conference here at the Governor\u2019s House, Mr Riaz said that a rapid bus service would be introduced in Karachi on two routes \u2014 from Bahria Township to Tower, and from Bahria Township to Quaid-i-Azam International Airport.<\/p>\n<p>Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad was present on the occasion.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Riaz said that he would purchase land needed for setting up a modern medicare institute as planned by Dow Medical College University and added that residential plots would be given to `martyrs\u2019 of MQM in the Bahria Townships.<\/p>\n<p>He said that construction of universities would begin in January next year and would be completed by the end of 2015 and academic activities would start in January 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Ibad welcomed the announcements.<\/p>\n<p>Published in Dawn, <strong>November 28th, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bahria Town to set up two universities KARACHI: Real estate tycoon and chairman of Bahria Town Malik Riaz announced on Thursday his plan to set up two universities \u2013 one each in Karachi and Hyderabad \u2013 to be named after Mutta\u00adhida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain.
